25 years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, families, and groups.
I have over 25 years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, families, and groups. I offer a personalized approach tailored to each person’s needs, interests, and goals which may include short term, skills -based training and/ or a more depth- oriented treatment that gets to the core of the problem with the aim toward lasting change. My training and philosophy are grounded in contemporary, relational psychoanalytic theory. I believe that a key factor that fosters change in psychotherapy is the relationship created between a patient and therapist. I genuinely care about every client. Increased vitality, greater resiliency, and an acceptance of life’s limitations are the ultimate goals of treatment.

After working as a licensed clinical social worker for 15 years, I earned my doctoral degree in school psychology in 2015. My goal was to gain a greater depth of understanding of the complex needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and learning challenges, and to provide clinical support to family members. This is a population that is often misunderstood, and lacks needed support. I work to help family members better understand, articulate, and come to terms with their reactions to these unplanned conditions and the ongoing associated feelings. I have been involved personally and professionally with individuals of all ages and degrees of functioning and find beauty and potential in each unique person.
I completed my doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Stevens Institute of Technology’s Student Counseling & Disability Services, where I provided support to undergraduate and graduate students with a wide range of psychological, academic and disability related concerns. Additionally, I have provided therapy and psychological testing to children, adolescents, and adults of all ages in a variety of settings, including a group practice, a hospital- based clinic, public and private schools and agencies throughout New Jersey and New York City.
Most recently, I obtained certifications in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis from the Center for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis of New Jersey (CPPNJ). This experience enables me to provide in-depth individualized treatment to adults with a range of challenging life circumstances which can affect mental health and optimal functioning.
I have supervised social work students, psychology externs, and post-doctoral students and am available for individual or group supervision.
